The recent incident of pre - school teachers mistreating the very young children in a Mumbai preschool is deeply disturbing. The video going around shows the teachers hitting, banging children on the floor, picking them up harshly and dropping these little toddlers in one corner. The teachers seem completely incapable of handling the very young. Young children are the most vulnerable part of our society and they are supposed to be protected from any physical and emotional harm - then how have we stooped so low ? The protectors become perpetrators of violence !
The nurturers become nasty!
